Products from the Cordyceps mushroom
Cordyceps is a fungus that has been used in traditional medicine in the Far East for thousands of years as it contains beneficial biologically active compounds. The mushroom naturally grows in extreme high mountain areas where it is collected. Because of its inaccessibility and the fact that it only grows for 14 days a year as well as due to its small size (dry fruiting body weights around 0.3g), the mushroom is very valuable and its price can reach up to 50,000 €/kg.
For many years, scientists worldwide have been trying to master different techniques of Cordyceps mushroom cultivation, since wild mushrooms collected from their natural habitat fail to satisfy the needs of the market. In addition, collecting wild Cordyceps from its natural environment often causes intolerance among the inhabitants of the region, which can sometimes even lead to conflicts.
The Cordyceps fungus fruiting body cultivation
Only a few experts have succeeded in mastering the Cordyceps mushroom cultivation technique and we can proudly claim that we are one of them. Moreover, our products from the Cordyceps mushroom are among the best quality on the market.
Cordyceps mushroom is available in a powder – Cordyvit®, which is the most natural and non-processed form; as well as a mushroom extract in capsules – Cordyvit®K Plus, which is highly recommended for more demanding individuals with a faster pace of life.
HPLC analysis of the pharmacologically active compound cordycepine from the Cordyceps mushroom indicates a much higher activity of Cordyvit® (black line) than cultivated Cordyceps mushroom (blue line).*
