How do I cultivate shiitake using your shiitake mushroom cultivation kit?
– Simply remove the entire bag covering the kit substrate and place it in a room with ca. 20°C and at least 80% relative humidity. If there are already any deformed mushrooms that do not start growing in a few days, remove them.
Once the mushrooms grow big enough, cut them away from the substrate surface.
When mushrooms stop appearing, keep the substrate in the same environmental conditions for at least a week or two. After that period, submerge the substrate for six hours in cold water and then return it to the previous environment. The mushrooms will start to grow again.
This procedure can be repeated for a couple of times.
